When a child joins the family, parents need to be able to take care of more than just their physical needs. It is equally important to be able to respond to the child’s emotional needs, which play an invaluable role in their development. By understanding how a child develops and the age-specific peculiarities, we can work with them more successfully and gradually help them learn age-appropriate skills. Understanding is reassuring – we will not expect from children what they are not ready for yet.
Lessons are held once a week. The following topics are covered in 10 lessons:
- Understanding a child’s development and temperament;
- How to promote body control and positive self-esteem;
- How to promote secure attachment;
- How to promote play and imagination in a child;
- How to promote language and communication skills;
- How to build a foundation for positive self-esteem;
- Disciplinary methods that promote self-regulation, develop conscience and moral behaviour;
- How to promote self-regulation of emotions;
- How to promote concentration, planning and problem solving;
