Pathways to Competence

When a child joins the family, parents need to be able to take care of more than just their physical needs. It is equally important to be able to respond to the child’s emotional needs, which play an invaluable role in their development. By understanding how a child develops and the age-specific peculiarities, we can work with them more successfully and gradually help them learn age-appropriate skills. Understanding is reassuring – we will not expect from children what they are not ready for yet.
